Job description
This role will work as part of a transformational program to improve strategic procurement activity, design sustainable procurement improvement models, and lead HHS procurement improvement engagements. It is important to note that this is not an operational sourcing or procurement role, i.e. you will not specifically work in System Procurement branch running sourcing activities or conducting contract management.
About the Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation Portfolio:
The Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation (P&SCO) Portfolio builds on the foundational work undertaken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to drive operational enhancements and realise further Queensland Health system-wide benefits. The P&SCO Portfolio is a time-limited, temporary work program, currently consisting of three program workstreams, designed to improve procurement and supply chain operations across Queensland Health.
What we are looking for:
* Demonstrated experience in leading procurement improvement projects that identified and delivered significant improvements through process efficiency, cost optimisation and value drivers.
* Demonstrated background in successfully managing and delivering large multi-stakeholder projects, applying project methodologies and providing advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and tools.
* Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative and practical solutions for solving problems in large scale and complex change programs.
* Ability to understand and graph procurement data, and generate meaningful insights.
* Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring diverse teams and scope to success.
* Advanced communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, including demonstrated ability to advise and influence executive stakeholders on complex issues.
* Demonstrated experience in applying project management including the ability to scope projects, foresee and mitigate risk, manage conflicting priorities and deliver to tight timeframes.
