Project lead role in the Government
Your new company
Our client is a Government organisation that is looking to hire a Project Lead for the Procurement and Supply chain team. This is a temporary contract that will go until 31st December 2024.
Your new role
• Leverage the knowledge and expertise of embedded program procurement SMEs to maximise project opportunities and benefits.
• Negotiate and problem solve with a diverse and highly invested clientele, operating in a federated customer model that includes external third-party vendors.
• Provide leadership in the development of all project documentation and reporting, and apply appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools to ensure quality outcomes are delivered.
• Provide guidance and support to the project team and act as a point of escalation for the team in complex stakeholder and project issues.
• Implement appropriate governance and project management practices which are aligned with the Department’s Project Management Framework.
• Identify key delivery risks, lead reviews and provide guidance regarding risk management and mitigation in delivering the project and achieving the benefits.
• Collaborate with business partners on transformational change and the impact assessment of such change on risk control frameworks, people, technology and processes.
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, procurement, project management or a related field is highly desirable.
Active membership in relevant professional associations (e.g. CIPS, AIM, AIPM) is desired.
The ability to occasionally undertake work-related travel across the state.
