Project Lead - Procurement And Supply Chain

The Project Lead manages and leads the Category Optimisation & Partnerships Project in the Procurement Transformation Program. The position has a responsibility for providing exceptional project management skills to lead and oversee the development and delivery of procurement category optimisation across the organisation. The Project Lead will shape and execute wide-ranging and value-adding initiatives and work in collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Key responsibilities are:

• Leverage the knowledge and expertise of embedded program procurement SMEs to maximise project opportunities and benefits.
• Negotiate and problem solve with a diverse and highly invested clientele, operating in a federated customer model that includes external third-party vendors.
• Provide leadership in the development of all project documentation and reporting, and apply appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools to ensure quality outcomes are delivered.
• Provide guidance and support to the project team and act as a point of escalation for the team in complex stakeholder and project issues.
• Implement appropriate governance and project management practices which are aligned with the Department’s Project Management Framework.
• Identify key delivery risks, lead reviews and provide guidance regarding risk management and mitigation in delivering the project and achieving the benefits.
• Collaborate with business partners on transformational change and the impact assessment of such change on risk control frameworks, people, technology and processes.
