Evergreen Turf specializes in the construction, renovation and maintenance requirements of natural grass sporting surfaces and open space green areas. We currently have a full-time position available for a Project Leading Hand.
The available role is with our Melbourne based operation with projects possible anywhere across southern Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of professionals.
Duties and attributes:
- Supervise and install products and services in accordance with Evergreen Turf’s procedure manuals and to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Ensure that productivity is kept at an appropriate level and wastage to a minimum
- Ensure all machinery is prestart checked, safe to operate, operated and maintained with due care in accordance with the owner’s manuals and company procedures.
- Provide support and labour to Construction Manager and Site Managers as required or directed
- Monitor and record quality and volumes of materials delivered to site.
- Maintain daily records of deliveries and works carried out by subcontractors.
- Demonstrate leadership and decision making skills with clear delegation to onsite contractors in the absence of a Site Manager
- Provide survey support as required
Technical Experience
- Ability to demonstrate professional installation techniques in accordance with approved plans
- Ability to operate various machinery in a correct and safe manner
- Understanding the importance of maintaining accurate records
- Manual driving licence
- Ability to read and interpret plans
- Basic understanding of surveying principles
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Licences and Qualifications
- Drivers Licence
- White Card
- First Aid
- Machine tickets of competency preferable
