About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Manager/Program Services Manager – Sovereign Shipbuilding Talent Pool (SSTP), the Project Coordinator – SSTP will support the delivery of the SSTP Program and other Submarine Capability Development Group support activities as required. Other activities may include managing, planning, execution and closeout of minor projects or elements of various projects and activities including Services Instructions, Secondee placements, project deliverables, business / process development and improvement projects, financial support and analysis.
These roles are permanent, full time position headquartered in Osborne, SA.
Responsibilities
Supporting and assisting the effective planning, coordination, preparation of and execution of project strategies and plans.
Supporting and assisting with the planning, development and maintenance of performance baselines as well as schedule creation and management, data collation, financial reporting, measuring work progress, analysing variances, developing corrective actions and KPI management.
Supporting and assisting with the planning, coordination, preparation of and execution of deliverables and submissions in accordance with project requirements, coordination of and undertaking reviews, and monitoring and reporting on project performance, including identification and implementation of continuous improvement activities.
Participating in project risk assessments and opportunity reviews, including the development and proactive management of risk mitigation / opportunity realisation strategies.
Daily liaison with the SSTP PMO team and departments, such as Engineering, Quality, Planning, Estimating, Production, Learning & Development, Supply Chain, People & Culture, Commercial, Procurement and Finance.
Leading or assisting in the development and retention of planning documents, processes and procedures, briefing notes, presentations, and other project correspondence and communication materials.
Building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Skills & Experiences
To be successful in this role, you will:-
Autonomous, goal directed and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited direction.
Knowledge of project governance/ controls, administration and record keeping practices.
Stakeholder engagement and presentations skill and experience.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams, Powerpoint and Outlook.
Well organised with high attention to detail.
Certificate or Diploma in Project Management.
Risk analysis and mitigation training.
Knowledge of procurement and contract management functions.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals. Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
