With support and investment from Australian-owned Superannuation funds, the Group is committed to growth organically and through acquisition. Currently, the business has close to 500 employees across Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand with a blueprint for further growth this year.
Role :
As a pivotal member of the Project Management team, the Principal Project Officer plays a crucial role in providing Project Management, stakeholder management, and analytical expertise at a senior/strategic level. Responsibilities include overseeing vital project stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, and identifying potential new partnerships. Additionally, the role involves devising and executing communication strategies and plans, managing key project streams, and conducting research and analysis, including the development of essential project documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages key project streams to achieve timely delivery of high-quality outputs and outcomes.
- Sets work tasks aligned with strategic objectives and communicates expected outcomes to internal and external project stakeholders.
- Leads engagement with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining constructive relationships and dialogue.
- Collaborates with the Project Manager to support overall project outcomes.
- Embraces change and provides change management leadership within the project, engaging with the Steering Committee and external stakeholders.
- Undertakes Secretariat duties for critical and confidential project Committees and Working Groups.
- Demonstrates self-awareness, analyzes own performance critically, and commits to learning and self-development, embracing new challenges.
- Models adaptive leadership, embracing innovation, collaboration, coordination, and partnerships.
- Exhibits personal integrity and self-awareness, acting professionally and impartially at all times.
- Provides professional and timely support and advice to project Committees and Working Groups.

- Investigate best practice approaches to enhance service delivery.
- Conducts project research and analysis, synthesizing information from multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
- Develops high-level reports, briefing notes, and agenda papers for diverse stakeholders, ranging from the Minister to operational staff.
- Maintains and conveys a strong awareness of the project’s business and strategic environment.
- Ensures submission of high-quality information, products, and responses for Executive consideration.
- Communicates persuasively to a wide range of audiences, including the Executive, the Minister’s Office, state government agencies, local governments, volunteers and representative organizations, industrial bodies, and community stakeholders.
- Confidently facilitates engagement and negotiations with diverse stakeholders in various environments, including formal and informal meetings, workshops, and focus groups.
- Fosters and develops collaborative partnerships with staff and senior officers within the public and private sectors to resolve complex issues and broker solutions.
- Develops and maintains communication and engagement plans and strategies according to the diverse needs of project stakeholders.
