The team/department
You will be joining Western Power’s Metering Area within the Strategic Delivery Function. The Meter Provision area is accountable for providing assets and services to support the accurate measuring and recording of electricity consumption and generation to enable the collection of Western Power's revenue from retailers, the billing of end use customers by retailers and the settlement of the WA electricity market.
The metering team consists of approximately 50 people, split into 3 teams consisting of Field Operations, Works Management and Contractor Management teams.
What you will be doing
As a Project Support Officer, you'll be:
- Undertaking health checks & trend analysis on Project datasets.
- Understanding the Project structure in Ellipse and creating/closing work orders autonomously and/or liaising with Accounts.
- Providing project level support in maintaining quality data management tools, assisting in enabling effective tracking projects/program of works.
- Utilising current reporting and providing a summarised report to T/L and project team.
- Preparing relevant documentation to ensure the program, project managers / initiative owners and or project coordinators have the appropriate project and program information to conduct their roles in an effective and efficient manner (i.e. presentations, reports, agendas, minutes, workshop materials etc.).
- Assist with the preparation of cyclical business reporting requirements (e.g. KPIs, monthly and quarterly reports) using enterprise systems, tools, and templates. Ensuring all agreed reports and deliverables are on time and written to a high standard. - feeds up into PM's PSR

The skills and experience you will have
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- 4+ years’ experience in project or contract management roles
- At least 2 years’ experience in working with computer systems utilising project and program management software including ERP systems.
- Knowledge of estimating, work planning, scheduling and cost control programs for construction projects.
- Capable of developing and working with complex spreadsheets.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills coupled with demonstrated commercial and business acumen.
