Form of workOur client is a leading civil contractor providing various services to the Australian mining industry and are predominantly involved with rehabilitation, construction, and maintenance across the Pilbara region.
By way of business growth and expansion, they are now seeking a Project Manager to join their team looking after roughly 30 direct blue and white collar staff on a site-based 4:3 or 8:6 roster. This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced Civil Superintendent / Site Manager to step up to a Project Manager role. Or, an experienced Project Manager seeking to work for a medium sized business where they are a big enough to secure high quality project work, but small enough for you to be a key contributor to the business operations.
The Role:
This position will see you involved with the completion of road maintenance and tailings rehabilitation projects.
Your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Ensuring the projects are being completed to project specifications, time and budget requirements
- Ensuring high level of HSE standards are being adhere to
- Reporting back to Senior Management / Client and other stakeholders on the project process
- Working collaboratively with sub-contractors to successfully achieve project outcomes
- Technical problem solving and solution focused to any constructability issues
- Ensuring correct equipment is on site and ensuring all construction activities are progressing as planned
To be successful for this position, you will require the following:
- 5 + years of experience working in a leadership role (Civil Superintendent / Site Manager/ Project Manager or similar) within a similar environment
- Experience managing rehabilitation, mining, civil earth works, or construction projects
