Munster Services Group is a well-established organisation providing Engineering, Construction & Maintenance services to a number of industries including Industrial Plants, Fit Outs, Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants and Pump Stations.
Due to our steady growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming work we have a rare and challenging opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with on site delivery experience to join our team on a permanent, full time basis. Working alongside a supportive management team, you will focus on delivering on all project outcomes and will lead your team to deliver exceptional and innovative outcomes for our clients. You will drive a safe and collaborative team environment while overseeing site works, managing project schedules, programmes, stage completions, OH&S, handover and commissioning processes.
The successful applicants must demonstrate:
- 5+ years in construction, with experience water/wastewater advantageous
- Experience in D&C project management essential
- Demonstrable experience in organising work packages, controlling project schedules and delivering on agreed project outcomes
- Strong understating of resource Planning and Scheduling, Sub-contractor, Procurement and stock control management
- Experience in costs control, forecasting reporting and Variation estimation
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication with solid negotiating skills
- Excellent computer literacy with experience in MS Project and Excel
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure in a reactive environment
- Able to effectively manage QA, Environmental and OHS Compliance
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Experience in delivering projects direct to end user customers
- Strong customer focus to nurture and maintain existing business relationships
- Experience in managing design component of D&C projects
- Experience in estimating and tender submissions
- Exposure to identifying potential contractual risks to and developing effective control strategies to minimise the risk
- Exposure to project technical requirements review processes
- Analyse and manage project critical pathways, and develop lookahead schedules
- Tertiary or other relevant qualifications (preferred, not essential)
Because of the nature of the workplace, you will require Hepatitis A&B shots as well as Tetanus. Covid19 vaccine is mandatory with some clients and will be required before you can commence work at these sites.
