PROJECT MANAGER NEEDED AT GOLD COAST DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT COMPANY

Airport Consultancy Group (ACG) is a global design and construction management company specialising in airports, particularly airport pavements.
Our services include airport pavement construction, engineering, rehabilitation, onsite construction, and condition analysis. Our airport-only focus sets us apart in innovation, specialist expertise, and project delivery. We facilitate solutions for complex airport development projects in some of the most remote and challenging environments in the world.
In light of our continued growth within the industry, and continually growing portfolio of projects, we are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to be responsible and accountable for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, general management, integration, and closing of the civil construction projects assigned to them.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for the effective delivery of projects, including coordinating employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment required for same. Includes supervising and maintaining a high standard of work and progressing same according to timelines and key dates.
- Consulting with all relevant parties including engineers, architects, technical and trades workers, in order to direct labour resources and ensure effective implementation of coordinated work programs for projects.
- Where required, negotiating with key stakeholders including property owners, developers and subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed according to schedule and in line with financial targets.
- Represent ACG’s position with the client in any contract negotiations or disputes, including ensuring sound and co-operative working relationships are developed and maintained with both existing and potential clients. May also entail preparing tenders and contract bids.
- Responsible for project compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards, as well as keeping informed of all developments in legislative requirements, industry standards and best practices of the construction of projects and ensure that these are followed at all times with a high priority to work place health and safety. Ensure that plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions, and assist in maintaining accreditations required.
- Where required, arranging submission of plans to local authorities, as well as arranging building inspections by local authorities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
- At least two (2) years of relevant project management experience within the construction industry. Specific experience in airport pavement construction is highly desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Aptitude for time management and prioritizing responsibilities.
