We are looking for a Learning and DevelopmentProject Manager for a statutory body in the insurance sector.
This is a 6-month contract with possible extensions.
You will define the knowledge, skills and behaviours that are the minimum standard for their frontline roles; Claims Representative and Customer advisor. This is part of their capability framework project.
The framework will serve as a resource for evaluating whether their team members possess the necessary competencies and capabilities for their respective roles.
You will also be required to be in the office a minimum of two days per week.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track record in senior project management role within a matrix organisational structure
- A background in business process enhancement, skill enhancement, or involvement in Learning and Development contexts
- The ability to engage stakeholders and manage them effectively, with a knack for influencing and operating amidst uncertainty and continual change
You will:
- Foster relationships with stakeholders and lead the project team
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure work outcomes meet expectations, staying within scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards
- Precisely determine, assign, monitor, and manage project tasks, activities, and documentation in alignment with internal protocols
- Develop and communicate realistic plans for efficient work delivery
- Manage resource capacity planning and allocation effectively
- Assist in crafting or supporting the development of project management materials, such as business cases, project plans, risk/issue registers, and others as needed
- Thoroughly manage all aspects of the project, including planning, monitoring, documentation, tracking, reporting, and implementation
- Devise strategies for effective risk mitigation and contingency planning, ensuring risks are identified, addressed, and communicated
- Uphold compliance with frameworks, policies, governance, and delegation requirements
- Develop and oversee project budgets, including estimation and ongoing tracking
- Identify, define, and track project benefits
- Contribute to the continuous improvement objectives of their Transformation Delivery team
- Utilise team feedback and metrics (e.g., quality, delivery, cadence), ascertaining areas for improvement, collaborating with the team and driving continuous enhancements
