ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for running the project from end to end in conjunction with our team of Construction Managers, Administrators and On-Site Tradesman around Australia. The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in the timely delivery of multiple projects across a wide variety of our clients.
Your role will include but not be limited to:
- Prepare project takeoffs to a high standard
- Ensuring compliance to company and regulatory standards
- Ordering of materials from Factory or third parties and prepare delivery programs
- Issue Purchase Orders to various trades, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget
- Update cost tracking for each project
- Liaise with on-site staff to interpret design plans and installation requirements
- Produce weekly updates of each project to Construction Managers
This position will be resourced with a company provided laptop and mobile phone.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Southern Cross have a proven track record for career development and support for all staff and for the right prospective candidate. There are some qualifications and skills that the preferred candidate will ideally possess:
- Formal Qualifications in Project or Construction Management
- 5-8 years experience in Construction-based roles, Shopfitting experience preferred
- Previous experience in managing Hospitality fit-out (desirable)
- Proficiency in contract management and tendering processes
- Experience working within Australia Building Regulatory Standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with all internal and external stakeholders
- Time management and ability to work across multiple projects
- Impeccable organisation skills and attention to detail
