Project Manager Minor Works

Capstone is partnering with a boutique government organisation to identify a Project Manager to deliver a range of projects to July 2025. Reporting to the Manager of Facilities & Site Services, you will be delivering Facility Maintenance, Upgrade, Heritage, and compliance projects across their central Sydney portfolio of public accessible assets.

As the Project Manager Minor Works, you will enjoy the opportunity to manage building, grounds, and general maintenance projects from initiation to completion. You will be responsible for a program of projects ranging from $30K to $750K each.

As Project Manager, you will engage the Head Contractor and manage their delivery, to budget and on time, ensuring they are adhering to legislative and organisational WHSE site requirements. This proximity to the coal face of projects will see a combination of office and site exposure, providing variety and requiring flexibility.

• Time, Cost and Quality

Required
Team oriented, you will be happy to work within a government organisation, whilst maintaining control over project sites. We are looking for someone who can act autonomously whilst maintaining a strict eye on cost and quality above all else. You will have demonstrated relevant property project management experience in Australia, with relevant building/property tertiary or trade qualifications. Larger projects will have a civil focus, so a blend of building & civil exposure is ideal. Projects will vary across:

• building services & Minor Works infrastructure upgrades,
• remediation & landscaping, and
• facilities compliance

Building understanding with innovative problem-solving capabilities is vital to counter budgetary challenges and stakeholder engagements. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and an ability to self-execute projects from planning through design, procurement, and construction.
