Lead the way on ground-breaking HV substation projects throughout QLD with the Power Projects Team . As an accomplished Project Manager , utilise your skills and experience to oversee Projects and provide guidance to the dedicated delivery teams, ensuring that construction of electrical infrastructure projects is delivered safely, cost-effectively, and with high quality that meet our client’s requirements, KPIs, financial targets within the framework of Downer's delivery model.
Reporting to the Program Manager, you will work closely with a team of construction managers, project engineers, crew leaders, technical staff, and support staff to efficiently deliver projects.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Guide and coach others to promote a Zero-Harm culture proactively and visibly.
- Responsible for implementing and contributing to developing project delivery plans to manage and control projects.
- Provide leadership & direction to achieve project objectives (includes standards and procedures and provide advice regarding technical issues)
- Manage projects in accordance with the Downer Project Management Delivery model.
- Support the estimating team to ensure robust tender inputs and provide support through Downer Governance reviews to ensure best practice estimating.
ABOUT YOU
- A Trade or Engineering (Electrical or similar) qualification and/or a Diploma in Project Management. Additionally, you must possess experience delivering electrical utility projects.
- High proficiency with computers and relevant software.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and up and downstream
