The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be supervising the construction of multi-unit developments throughout various locations.

• Manage all construction related aspects of the project.
• Manage Environment, Health & Safety on the project.
• Manage the Construction Workers and Foremen.
• Manage review and analyse buildability options & alternatives 
• Manage all Subcontractors on and off.
• Manage and drive project delivery to programme.
• Manage and deliver projects to Quality Assurance, Safety and Environmental parameters.
• Manage all project budget controls  
• Manage monthly internal reporting
• Processing Subcontractor claims and invoices
• Issuing of Progress Claims to clients/superintendents for relevant projects
• Issuing and management of Requests for Information (RFI's)
• Issuing and management of Extensions of Time (EOT) & Delays (NOD)
• Issuing and management of Variations
• Ordering of materials for site and management of lead time restraints (i.e. timber, fixtures and fittings, tiles, etc.)
• The successful candidate would report directly to the Director.

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering Degree, or TAFE Diploma in Building & Construction
• Site Management Experience (5 years +) 
• An understanding of construction products, processes, trade methods and quality workmanship
• Experience in leading and inspiring a team of professional trades & services
• Demonstrated experience in project management and a willingness to learn and improve.
• Strong problem solving skills and comfortable discussing complex details.
• Attention to detail is a must. The little things count more than we know.
• Strong customer and quality focus with an appreciation of our "relationships first" approach
• Ability to liaise with a wide variety of people, including government bodies, architects & consultants, developers and clients, trades & services - problem solving & resolution skills are essential;
• Must have experience working for/with a custom residential builder or commercial builder
• Quick to pick up systems and software
• Highly organised and efficient
