The Location

The Role
This position is responsible for onsite project management and leadership on behalf of the 2.0 Owners team in oversight of all contractor activities at the Tantangara site to ensure that the built product meets contractual requirements and construction works are delivered in accordance with the Employers Requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the employers requirements are being met at all times, and the Contractor is complying with the Employers Design and Construction Requirements, working proactively to prevent short, medium and long term legacy issues which could compromise the Snowy 2.0 asset performing the way it is designed.
- Constantly reviewing the Contractors activities, with the aim of detecting aunty deficiency of performance before the occurrence of delays or a reduction in quality of work.
- Ensuring construction works are carried out in accordance with the latest IFC drawings, specifications and other relevant documents.
- Providing guidance when necessary so that all inspections, tests, acceptances and remedies will be carried out in the best interest of the project, in accordance with the latest revision of the design.
- Managing the construction of site access roads under Provisional Sums.
- Reviewing and providing commentary on the Contractor's monthly reports, including review support as required of the Contractor's monthly claims.
- Monitoring and maintaining agreement with the Contractor of actual progress in every area of construction and feeding agreement to the Owner's Project Controls Team.
- Maintaining the highest standard of health and safety performance: implementing safety plans, exhibiting behaviours consistent with Snowy Hydro Values, leading by example with colleagues, team members, and acting in accordance with SHL Health & Safety policies.
You'll Bring To The Team:
A recognised tertiary degree qualification in Engineering or Construction / Project Management with extensive experience in managing large scale, complex, high risk infrastructure construction projects. You'll demonstrate project management, construction and engineering skills with the ability to execute engineering tasks from inception to completion including the management of stakeholders, taking into account broader business drivers.
