We currently have an exciting opportunity for an IT Project Manager, based in our Newcastle Office as permanent full time to lead our technological initiatives, ensuring they align perfectly with our luxury, comfort, and exceptional service ethos.

The Role
In this role is pivotal in managing the lifecycle of IT projects that enhance our guest experiences and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of IT, this role requires a unique blend of technical project management, a deep understanding of change management principles, and strategic communication skills to ensure technology initiatives are implemented seamlessly and are well-received across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Spearhead IT projects from conception through to completion, aligning with Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours’ strategic objectives and enhancing guest and employee experiences.
- Utilise industry-leading project management methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Change Management:
- Lead the development and execution of change management strategies, focusing on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, and technology.
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders, ensuring effective management of change across all levels of the organisation.
- Develop and implement training and support programs to enhance the adoption of new technologies and processes.
Communications:
- Design and deliver comprehensive communication plans that inform, engage, and motivate employees about IT initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure transparent and ongoing communication with all stakeholders, including executive leadership, project teams, and end-users, through regular updates, presentations, and reports.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between IT and other departments, ensuring IT projects align with internal needs and enhance the overall guest experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects.
Risk Management and Quality Assurance:
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with IT projects, change initiatives, and communications strategies.
- Ensure all IT projects comply with industry standards and regulations, maintaining the highest quality of delivery.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and Change Management (e.g., Prosci ADKAR Model).
- Minimum of 7 years experience in IT project management, with a significant focus on change management and strategic communications within the hospitality or luxury cruise industry.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams in a hybrid work environment.
- Advanced problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Superior communication abilities, adept at crafting and conveying clear, persuasive messages to a variety of audiences.
