Parks Victoria is looking for a Project Officer (Maritime Planning) to manage the development of local port area plans at three key sites around Port Phillip and Western Port.

About the role
The primary focus of the position is to support delivery of local port area planning projects within the local ports of Port Phillip and Western Port. In delivering the local port area planning projects the position is required to have a good understanding of project management; planning and design skills; provide analysis and advice; manage procurement and delivery by external contractors; support engagement tasks and negotiations with community and stakeholders. The role is part of a specialised team delivering planning for highly valued community assets on the bays.
We're looking for someone with:
Experience in the successful delivery of planning and designing projects is desirable
Working knowledge of master, marine and coastal planning and relevant legislation
A tertiary qualification in land use planning, environmental planning or landscape architecture or similar is required
Strong written and verbal, presentation and communication skills, including leading stakeholder and community engagement
