What you'll be doing
  • Develop frameworks and undertake leadership projects in collaboration with all levels of nursing leaders in the district to ensure that the ultimate goal of safe compassionate care for patients of Far West LHD meets and exceeds expectations. 
  • Provide guidance and support to all levels of nursing leaders in Far West LHD to ensure that there is a focus on continuous improvement in the quality of service and practice.
  • Ongoing assessment and improvement in clinical safety processes is an inherent role of this position as collaborative relationships are developed to focus on compassionate quality care.

How to apply  
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible.

  • Tertiary qualification in a health related discipline or management experience/ qualifications in leadership and change management.
  • Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and resources of the project are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team and to represent nursing and midwifery in a range of forums inside and outside the organisation
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner to manage conflict and performance issues then they arise
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking to set goals, formulate strategic plans and policies to achieve identified outcomes for the service and organisation.
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in the implementation of organisational change, risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workforce
  • Demonstrated ability to provide support, mentorship and training to all levels of nursing and midwifery leaders of the District
  • Demonstrate a willingness/ ability to travel throughout the Far West LHD to fulfil the position key accountabilities
