At the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), we are committed to achieving innovative, ground-breaking health and medical research that fundamentally improves the quality of life for all people.
Multiple opportunities are now available for roles within the Australia and New Zealand Dialysis and Transplant and associated registries group for Project Officers/Administration. These positions will provide project and administrative support to the registries and the wider project team, and will be responsible for the coordination of project/administrative services supporting collection and collation of data throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The positions will work closely with all members of the registry team including registry manager and project team. The role will also interact with a range of external stakeholders including all members of the health care teams across various agencies.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the management of the registries including embedded registry clinical trials.
- Coordinate and assist with the data collection, reporting and distribution of survey requirements.
- Assist with processing and distribution of incoming documentation to the registry.
- Distribution of the reports and communique to participating hospitals across Australia and New Zealand.
- Ensure that service provision and the activities of the division are customer focussed and professionally and effectively conducted by contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of business partners and external clients.
- Participate in special projects to continuously improve processes, tools, systems and organisation, including writing and editing standard operating procedures and reports.
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:
Essential:
- Experience in project work as a Project Officer.
- Experience in administrative work within the healthcare setting - intermediate level.
Desirable:
- Experience/knowledge working with a clinical quality registry and/or understanding of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Framework for Australian clinical quality registries.
- Experience/knowledge working with medical clinical trials.
- Current Good Clinical Practice Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a project team, using initiative and experience to drive project work forward with minimal direction.
- Knowledge and understanding of health and medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the formation of collaborative links with colleagues and a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated advanced time management skills, including planning and prioritising task and deadlines.
- Advanced computer literacy skills including proficiently in Microsoft suite to create and edit documents and data, online platforms.
