About The Role
Due to significant company growth due to mergers and acquisition activity we have formed the Merger Integration Portfolio to shape the future Bolton Clarke Group. As part of the RAC Care and Operations Program we are developing
and implementing the payroll strategy and systems across the Group including projects, integration and merger of payroll systems, data transition, system design and configuration. We need a payroll specialist with experience in payroll system configuration and testing in a large and complex environment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include
- Planning, implementation and support for project activities delivering to the project schedule.
- Ensure that all Bolton Clarke systems are configured in a compliant state across multiple industrial instruments.
- Develop industrial instrument build requirements and work with external vendors for system configuration.
- Create test cases using in-depth analysis of payroll functions based on the required industrial instruments to determine readiness for transition to the production environment.
- Conduct payroll user acceptance testing including but not limited to scenario, subset and parallel pay runs.
- Review and analyse test results and provide reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct defect triage and maintain a defect register to record and analyse actions and results.
- Identify possible training/change management.
- Ensure that all payroll functions are carried out in accordance with the Bolton Clarke standard payroll procedures.
- Contribute to Bolton Clarke’s compliance obligations through the analysis of data, trends and the advice and assistance provided to all levels of the business.
- Hold a strong working knowledge of legislation governing the business unit in order to provide highly quality client and business focussed outcomes.
- Contribute by “working on the system” to improve both payroll and rostering systems and processes to remain current with best practice.
- Provide support and input into related staff rostering training.
- Undertake reporting activities together with other relevant documentation within the scope of your role.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a computerised payroll environment, preferably in a large, multi-site organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in payroll system configuration and testing in a large and complex environment (mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role in a variety of complex situations, preferably on large projects/programs across different phases.
- Advanced computer skills in software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, together with a commitment to providing high level customer service.
- Experience with Workforce Management Solutions would be highly regarded.
- Police Check (or willingness to undertake the check)
- 2023 flu vaccinations or willing to obtain
- Covid vaccination evidence in line with current requirements.
