About The Role
As the Project Planner you will assist the project team in completion of project activities within approved capital expenditure and milestone targets by leading the development, monitoring and control of the project master schedule.
The Project Planner will be involved in the development and delivery of project work packages with the project manager, area managers and package engineers. This will require proactive engagement of stakeholders, engineering, vendors and contractors to develop schedule activities, track progress and forecast completion. As part of work package delivery, the planner will also provide schedule performance analysis and information to the project management team on any required actions to maintain approved baseline targets.
As the Project Planner you will:
Manage major capital project planning and scheduling activities
Develop and implement project procedures
Manage project tracking, completion forecasting and performance analysis
Be accountable for stakeholder project reporting and baseline target monitoring
Control and monitor project areas of concern, risks or deviation from baseline
Proactively engage across all external and internal project stakeholders
Short site based visits may be required dependent on project requirements
About You:
Extensive experience in project planning in major projects/program development, with direct exposure to and knowledge of the resources sector
Sound understanding of project scheduling processes and techniques including methods for resource levelling and schedule analysis
Highly proficient in the use of project scheduling applications such as Primavera P6 and MS Project
Comprehensive understanding of earned value management, reporting and forecasting methods in addition to knowledge of forward pass, backward pass and critical path analysis
