My client is a community based organisation who work in conjunction with other member councils to deliver a range of services. They have a strong commitment to environmental improvements through a range of innovative programs including waste, recycling, disposal and carbon reduction to name a few.
Description
This role will lead and oversee two major projects and the associated contracts that are currently in process as part of a long term state based initiative. Some of your key responsibilities will include;
- Design and execute the project framework including contracts, tenders and critical project management activities
- Delivery of a range of Project Procurement activities in accordance with the two major projects
- Engage with a range of cross functional stakeholders including local councils, consultancies and waste facilities to ensure a delivery model is in place for all parties
- Oversee ongoing project performance and make the necessary adjustments along the way to ensure compliance, governance and commerciality
- Lead a small team and ensure there is an inclusive and high performance environment for all team members
Profile
The successful candidate will have a skill set with a strength in procurement, contracts and project management. You will be able to effectively manage complex tenders and contracts with a hands on approach. You will also demonstrate the ability to mange a range of internal and external stakeholders who may at times have varying opinions and be able to influence positive outcomes. Furthermore you will be a proven leader with a passion for upskilling the people you lead.
