The Project Procurement Specialist (Minto - 24 Month Contract) role is designed to be fully functional in the 4-Day work week trial.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Project Procurement Specialist (Minto - 24 Month Contract). This fixed term contract role will lead the Capex sourcing for the project working under direct supervision of the Cluster sourcing head and in collaboration with the Global Capex sourcing teams, and provide on ground support to the Minto Project team during an execution of the transformational project.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead ‘end to end’ Capex sourcing for the project, ensure compliance to UL SOPs and ‘wow’.
  • Develop and execute Capex Sourcing Strategy for the project, planned spend @E45M.
  • Lead sourcing of high value complex deals.
  • Negotiation planning and execution, cost benchmarking, hard negotiations to get Best value deals for Unilever
  • Good understanding of manufacturing process (preferably in food industry).
  • Deep understanding of Procurement processes related to Capex portfolio.
  • Established track record of delivering KPIs under tough working environment/ market conditions.
  • Good knowledge of Supply base (Country/ Global) for Capex portfolio.
  • Resilience and Risk Management in Prevailing tough business situations.
  • Partnering with Suppliers: Select, Manage, and motivate suppliers to deliver Value to UL business via Joint collaborative efforts.
  • Driving Supplier Diversity and Digitization agenda from Procurement perspective (om sync with the business plan).
  • Portfolio Market intelligence enabling strategic sourcing decision making.
  • Conduct Supplier Capability and Capacity studies enabling continuous supplier evaluation / new supplier selection.
  • Provide advice to stakeholders on procurement contract matters, including the use of central contracts, contracting procedures, policies, and practices.
  • Acting as the point of contact for all contract related queries from subcontractors and all other external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement innovative procurement strategies.
  • Maintain a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.

  • Minimum 5 years of Project related Capex sourcing experience, preferably in food industry
  • Engineering graduate in any discipline  
  • Agile and resilient to work under pressure and in a complex global environment.

  • Interpersonal effectiveness - facilitate in building trust and engagement amongst teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong in project and time management for complex projects
  • Experience in negotiating, setting up and managing supplier contracts.
  • A proven commercial operator and effective negotiator
  • Experienced in stakeholder and supplier management.
  • Strong communications, written and verbal.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
