An exciting, newly created opportunity has emerged for a highly skilled Contract and Procurement Specialist. This integral position involves a blend of contract review, procurement, and financial management within a leading energy company. The role offers significant scope for growth and involvement in high-level strategic planning.Key Responsibilities:
- Contract and Vendor Management: Review existing contracts and MSAs, and handle new vendor relationships, including negotiation of terms.
- Financial Oversight: Manage purchase orders and reconciliation, tracking spend against approvals, and focusing on renewals. Oversee a substantial annual budget of $20M, delivering monthly reports to stakeholders, Finance, and senior management.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in workforce planning and high-level discussions about financial strategies and budgets for the next fiscal year.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for process enhancements, optimising operations and reducing risks.
- Central role in the data and analytics hub supporting all business units.
- Procurement Expertise: Experience in procurement or as a contract specialist, particularly within a company leveraging its own SaaS platform.
- Financial Acumen: Proficient in budget management, not necessarily setting budgets but tracking spend and approvals.
- Contractual Knowledge: Strong skills in vendor evaluation, Master Service Agreements, contract negotiation, and management.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to design and track budgets, develop acquisition strategies, and identify process improvements.
- Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional skills in working with diverse teams, including Finance, Legal, and IT Procurement.
