Your future role
An opportunity has become available for a Project Quality and Safety Manager to join our team supporting our WA projects. Based at of our Perth CBD office, you will primarily be responsible for Quality and product safety assurance by coordinating all Quality and Safety activities across our projects. Reporting to the Quality Manager – Sig & Infra and, you will work with the Project Team in implementing, managing and improving all quality relevant processes in the execution and delivery of our projects. Your key responsibilities will include;
- Being the interface with the Customer Quality and Safety teams.
- Establishing the Project Quality plan and ensure the proper application during contract execution in accordance to the contract requirements, and to the Alstom processes.
- Contributing to the criticality assessment of sub-systems to ensure right level of safety and quality assurance as well as inspection activities for all identified CTQ.
- Being the preferable interface between the Project Team for all the métiers Quality is needed for the Project (Engineering EQ, Industrial IQ and Supplier SQ).
- Guiding project teams in understanding Quality contributions to the project.
- Animating and coordinating the Project Quality community (system and sub-systems).
- Providing quality awareness on quality activities planned for the project and organising if needed quality trainings.
- Supporting on request project audits, reviews and approval of vendor quality systems and audits compliance.
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving and product quality. You will also have;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence.
- The proven ability to be agile and adaptabile in a fast-paced project environment.
- Knowledge of Quality standards (ISO9001 ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM,.) and quality tools.
- Experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in Rail, Defence, Aviation, Mining, Manufacturing, Construction or a similar industry, ideally with exposure to Alliances/Joint Ventures.
- Terituary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Mechantronic or similar).
