Project Engineer (Quality)

We are searching for a highly motivated Project Engineer with a strong quality focus to join our team on Barrow Island. In this vital role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding the integrity of our operations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the charge: Implement and manage a comprehensive Quality Assurance program with a specific focus on welding quality, adhering to the ISO 3834.2 standard.
• Become our quality watchdog: Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews to guarantee compliance with relevant quality standards and legislation.
• Proactive problem-solving: Identify and address any non-conformances, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Collaborative spirit: Work seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication on all HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) matters.
• Contract compliance expert: Identify project-specific quality requirements and develop the necessary infrastructure to capture and maintain them within our Quality Management System.
• Safety champion: Advocate for a robust safety culture and ensure strict adherence to all safety procedures and policies.
• Evaluating excellence: Assess the capabilities of subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining evaluation records, and conducting audits as needed.
• Embrace innovation: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new technologies and processes.

What We're Looking For:

• An engineering degree or relevant qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the oil & gas or construction industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 3834.2.
• A strong understanding of welding inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and collaboratively.
• An unwavering commitment to safety and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
