As a result of an exciting project expansion, we are seeking 2 x Project SafetyAdvisors for a 12-month contract at our Beverley Mine Site. These positions are an immediate start and will be on an 8:6 roster. In this role you be responsible in supporting the project delivery, offering guidance and ensuring compliance with safety standards, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide advice on health and safety issues to all personnel on associated projects.
- Perform regular safety inspections and audits.
- Conduct daily project visits to oversee contractor management, observe work practices, conduct toolbox meetings, and perform pre-starts.
- Coordinate training, equipment testing and tagging procedures.
- Draft safety related communications, attend meetings and report findings, internally and externally.
- Cultivate strong work relationships and enhance safety practices.
- Assist and advise with JHAs, risk assessments & implementation of new procedures.
In addition to having relevant tertiary qualification(s) and relevant experience, you will be keen to contribute to successful outcomes for our company in a professional collaborative team environment. You will also ideally have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications - Diploma in WHS or the equivalent level of expertise and knowledge acquired through experience.
- Experience working on large construction projects (or in similar high-risk industries)
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Current driver's licence.
