Originally based in the SMEC alliance office in Brisbane, then relocated to the site office in Crow's Nest, Toowoomba. Seymour Whyte, in alliance with SMEC and Toowoomba Regional Council, has been awarded the Cressbrook Dam Safety Improvement Project to increase flood capacity and resilience for the region. Representing our client’s largest project to date, the project involves raising the dam crest height, and widening the spillway whilst also aligning the structure with current engineering design standards to ensure the dam’s long-term viability.

About the role: Adhere to Seymour Whyte policies and compliance training for your role.
Support SWC initiatives and KPIs, and propose additional improvement strategies. Ensure compliance with company, government, and client legislation, plans, standards, and specifications. Stay updated on legislation, industry standards, and technological innovations relevant to your role.
Report information accurately and promptly and contribute to developing solutions for relevant issues. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience: Diploma qualification in OHS or equivalent. A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction, with a background in dam projects- highly advantageous.
Previous experience leading teams or in a management role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
