We are partnered with a well-known utility organisation for the recruitment of a Project Stakeholder Manager.

The Role

This is an initial 12 month contract starting asap, and reports into the Manager of the Project.

The role oversees, coordinates and is the primary Project lead on its engagement with land access stakeholders, local government and government agencies - including facilitating strong and effective relationships across all levels.

The role will also be responsible for managing and maintaining the Project's stakeholder register in alignment with the project's stakeholder management plan.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Develop and deliver Project Stakeholder plan to meet whole-of-project objectives.
  • On behalf of the Project, lead the planning, implementation and management of engagement activities with government agencies at both a strategic and practical level, both at state and local government levels.
  • Develop, plan, implement and evaluate engagement strategies in line with industry best practice to build awareness, consult with key government and other relevant stakeholders and further improve the Project's visibility, brand and likelihood of success.
  • Engage with government stakeholders to ensure effective working relationships.
  • Provide strategic advice to the project Steering Committee and senior management team, ensuring they are well briefed on contentious issues and hot topics.
  • Monitor Parliament, media and other avenues to provide timely advice to key internal stakeholders.
  • Develop briefing materials and background information as required for project members for government meetings. Attend meetings, undertake actions, and update Project team as appropriate.
  • Coordinate advice and responses to requests from government for advice and information.

Your Background

You'll have the below qualifications and experience:

  • Knowledge of the State Government budget and Cabinet processes
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement management.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and developing material for corporate events.
  • Demonstrated experience in project development.
  • Experience in Ministerial offices, stakeholder management and/or public relations.
  • Extensive experienced in monitoring and coordinating responses to issues at senior executive level.
  • Extensive experience in developing proactive relationships with Government officials and key stakeholders.
  • Degree of tertiary qualifications in Politics, Public Policy, Law, Economics or related discipline is mandatory.

You'll also need to supply a police clearance prior to starting and have unrestricted working rights.
