Overview
Operational Engineering Branch within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), are responsible for delivering cutting edge capabilities to support ASDs Signals Intelligence, Cyber and Enterprise Capabilities.
These capabilities consists of a combination of:
- Delivery of new capability under the REDSPICE program;
- Delivery of ASD's major capability programs and;
- Enhancing and modernising existing capabilities.
To facilitate this ASD has a requirement for multiple Project Support Officers.
ASD seeks a Project Support Officer that has a proven history of working in complex projects and contributing to the organisational capability within the project.
The Project Support Officer is accountable under general direction to assist several team leads in the delivery of the Project to provide effective administration, procurement and finance support to technical projects.
The Project Support Officer will work independently to undertake a range of administrative tasks including maintaining Risk Registers, Stakeholder Matrix, and management of Program and Project artefacts within the team.
The Project Support Officer will take responsibility for the provision of support services to projects, use and recommends project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking projects whilst supporting programme or project control boards, project assurance teams and quality review meetings.
The successful candidate will be required to work cohesively and communicate effectively with other project team staff and stakeholder groups.

Takes responsibility for the provision of support services to projects. Uses and recommends project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking projects. Sets up and provides detailed guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques. Supports programme or project control boards, project assurance teams and quality review meetings. Provides basic guidance on individual project proposals. May be involved in aspects of supporting a programme by providing a cross programme view on risk, change, quality, finance or configuration management.

Desirable Criteria * Knowledge of the Project Management methodologies.
- Demonstrated administration and organisational skills within Defences Desktop Environments.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of project governance board engagements.
- Maintain project documentation including establishment of a document library and control methods for finalised project documents. Ensure that all final documents meet audit requirements and are easily retrievable.
- Implement stakeholder communication plans, enhancing customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Provide administration support including schedule maintenance, monthly reporting, and resource management.
- Provide general administrative support including management of project record keeping requirements and systems; secretariat support for project meetings and forums and other communications.
- Provide complex office and administrative support to the Program Office.
