In this role, you'll:

Be responsible for the development, management and implementation of road and/or traffic infrastructure projects to achieve Transport for NSW road safety, asset management and network efficiency objectives.

The Project/Contract Manager role will be responsible for:

• Providing efficient and effective project and contract management services by ensuring that the nominated road or traffic infrastructure projects are developed and delivered to specified, time, cost, quality and scope requirements and to meet TfNSW objectives.
• Leading the investigation, design, estimating and procurement processes for the nominated project to deliver required client objectives.
• Managing the development, tendering, awarding and administration of professional service and construction contracts by controlling the scope and managing contract risks and issues.
• Building and maintaining effective working relationships and collaborating with our customers, colleagues, stakeholders and partners to understand and manage risk and influence sustainable outcomes on projects by the development and implementation of effective stakeholder and community involvement plans.

There are two ongoing full-time roles available (1 x USS Grade 10 and 1 x EL 3) which can be based in either Grafton, Ballina, Port Macquarie or Tamworth.Associated with these exciting roles there are also excellent conditions on offer including flexible working arrangements as well as fantastic work-life balance associated with living and working in regional NSW.

About You

To be considered for this role you will have a four-year engineering degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications or relevant experience.

You have broad experience in either project development and/or implementation of road and/or traffic infrastructure construction or projects.

You have demonstrated experience in the project management of road related projects and in the implementation of community/stakeholder involvement strategies.

You have extensive experience in the preparation of tender documentation, tendering procedures and/or overseeing professional service and asset maintenance and/or construction contractors.

You will be a proactive analytical thinker and possess high level communication skills. The ability to astutely manage time and work collaboratively and closely with stakeholders to deliver is paramount, as is your dedicated commitment to safety and quality.

You possess a current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver license and be willing to work outside regular working hours and travel on occasion.

Some travel within the region will be required, including a willingness to work away from home when required to manage distant projects.
