The South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Bunbury which provides a variety of health services to Aboriginal people in the South West of Western Australia. SWAMS delivers a wide range of primary health and community programs and has a strong growth strategy through partnership opportunities and future community development.

This is a varied clinic based role that includes but is not limited too:
- Administrative support, under the guidance of Director Health and Social Services (HSS), of key projects within the Social Services and Health Divisions, in planning, implementation and evaluation of projects.
- Prepare business cases, funding applications, tender documentation, gantt charts and project plans.
- Manages and facilitates the development of SWAMS operational planning frameworks.
- Facilitates internal and external working groups as directed.
- Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and contribute to agreed implementation activities.
- Assists HSS in the coordination of the development and implementation of reporting and evaluation processes for directorate.
- Provide executive support to Director, HSS
- Assist the Director, HSS with investigation of incidents and corrective actions.
- Review tasks due and assist with updating outcomes, documentation and accreditation requirements
- Review and update policies and procedures
- Schedule appointments related to upcoming task
Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV in Business Administration (or similar) or demonstrated business/ project administration experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience in an administration environment
- Ability to organise specific projects meeting deadlines to high standards
- High level of written communication, including briefs, report writing, letters and policies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to achieve high level customer service to internal and external clients
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal people
Desirable Criteria
- Aboriginality would be advantageous in this role but is not an essential requirement of the role
- Experience in Sharepoint
