Property Advisor
Duration: 6-month contract - potential of ongoings
Paying up to $70 per hour + super
South East Suburbs
I'm excited to be partnering with a local government body who're looking for an experienced Senior Property Advisor to join their team! The successful candidate will be responsible for leasing and licensing properties and property management, including sales and acquisitions.
Key Duties
- Property Advice and Leasing:
- Provide accurate and timely property advice, particularly related to leasing and licencing for commercial, community, and sporting groups.
- Handle the sale and acquisition of other properties, including road discontinuances.
- Lease and Licence Negotiations:
- Negotiate new leases and licences within the legislative and policy framework, adhering to the limits of authority.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare reports for various stakeholders, including Council reports, councillor briefings, and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Strategic Property Participation:
- Offer strategic property advice and actively engage in cross-organizational projects involving Council-controlled properties.
- Routine Property Management:
- Conduct property inspections, manage debtors, and review rents as part of routine property management functions.
- Workplan Management:
- Regularly review workplans to ensure timely execution of property management tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, you will need a proven ability to effectively manage a large property portfolio, also a key eye for problem solving and developing and building relationships. The ideal candidate will also need at least 5 years of property management experience within local council or state government. With Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
