Founded in 1881 by the Marist Brothers, St Joseph’s College is a boarding and day secondary boys’ school, whose Catholic identity is shaped by Marist spirituality and traditions. Governed by Marist Schools Australia, the College enrolment is 1,100 students.
The purpose of the Property and Facilities Assistant is to provide operational support assistance in the conduct of the work of the Property and Facilities Office which consists of the Property and Facilities Manager, the Facilities Officer, the Maintenance Supervisor together with trades and labour assistants and the engagement of contractors.
The Property and Facilities Office undertakes responsibility for the effective implementation of all building and construction projects for new and existing facilities, maintenance, repair and cleaning for all property.
The successful candidate will possess a sound level of both oral and written communication; organisation and attention to detail. They will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2007 especially Excel and Word. Experience in using the computer system Synergetic, J-Net, Event Pro, Pro Master and Salto systems is well regarded but is not essential as competency training is available. A collegial & collaborative approach as a member of a successful team is essential.
