A rapidly growing privately owned Australian property developer specialising in commercial properties and leading retail developments nationwide is seeking a skilled Property Development manager to assist their team with strategic site acquisitions, feasibility studies, client-side assessments and DA approvals.
You will be part of significant medium to large scale commercial, retail and mixed use projects across Sydney.
Role:
- Assist with all stages of the development cycle, including due diligence, acquisition, feasibility, concept design, development application, design development to construction completion
- Manage builder/ developer claims
- Thorough understanding of the planning system and the ability to seek and obtain Development Approvals
- Manage and maintain positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders such as council, neighbouring developers, consultants and head contractors.
- Undertaking of extensive due diligence for prospective properties including conducting of market research for internal and external briefings
- Reporting directly to the Senior Development Manager
- Relevant degree/ qualification in property, planning and/or construction and / or relevant industry experience
- 3-5+ years in Property Development experience within medium to large scale commercial, retail and/or mixed use development projects
- Experience with client-side assessments is highly regarded
- Strong communication and proven ability to make sound decision-making, influencing, presentation and negotiation skills
