Federal government agency requires an experienced Facilities Officer for an immediate contract.

A rare opportunity has arisen in this highly reputable government department which requires the services of a Facilities Officer to help in managing the coordination of the facilities contractual arrangements.
Your new role
Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will be assisting in the efficient and effective management of the department’s ongoing property and maintenance program. This will include but not limited to:
- Provide high level administrative advice and support, including facilities and property maintenance and reporting, security, information databases, spreadsheets, registers, reports, invoices, communications and general correspondence
- Manage day-to-day management of operational requirements including addressing and/or escalating issues as they arise
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, internal and external service providers and stakeholders
- Escorting and onboarding of contractors
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of facilities and property management services and activities
- Knowledge of procurement and contract management
- Well-developed judgement and decision-making skills
- Well-developed high level administrative service and support
- Ideally, a baseline clearance
