An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced in-house Property Lawyer to join our Property Team.
You will be responsible for all National property law matters within the Company. As a qualified Property Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing the Company and its staff with accurate, timely and effective property law advice.
Responsibilities include:
- Advise on legal matters affecting the Company's property and leasing portfolio.
- Handling purchase and sale of property and businesses
- Providing advice regarding leases, sub-leases and license arrangements.
- Interpreting laws, rulings and regulations affecting the Company
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a variety of property related transactions including but not limited to joint venture arrangements, purchase and sale of properties and leases/subleases
- Advising on Retail and Residential Tenancy matters
- Advising on stamp duty issues relating to property transactions
- Instructing and managing external legal providers as required
Qualifications:
- Admitted to Practice Lawyer in Victoria
- Minimum of 8 years experience practicing Property Law
- Strong analytical, legal research and drafting skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
