About the Role
Lead the renewal, negotiation and management of telecommunications related tenure arrangements on Council owned and controlled land.
Key responsibilities include:
- Obtain approval from Council to enter into the leases, drafting and negotiation of lease agreements, arranging execution of the lease in accordance with appropriate delegations/resolutions and attending to registration with the Land Titles Registry
- Coordinate delivery of appropriate specialist advice to support leasing transactions, including independent valuations, town planning and legal advice
- Manage tenure arrangements, including requests for landowner consent to works, payment of fees under the arrangements, arranging and responding to maintenance requests, appropriate insurance coverage, monitoring certificates of currency and overall lease compliance
- Partner with and deliver on telecommunications leasing and other property related priorities for other branches within Council
- Provide technical input to support the implementation of the strategic goals, objectives, policies and priorities.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications industry, together with the associated technology and instrastructure
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of lease documentation, which includes commercial and contract negotiation
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of lease documentation, which includes commercial and contract negotiation
- Proven reporting skills with extensive experience in producing reports and preparing business cases, correspondence and briefing material for senior stakeholders.
