We are looking for a Provisional Psychologist to join our team to help us provide mental health treatment services directly to clients aged 14 years and up. You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clinical presentations that will challenge you as a developing psychologist in a supportive environment.
Our private psychology practice in Leumeah, NSW, (near Campbelltown) was established over 15 years ago, with a team of dedicated psychologists focused on providing psychological assessment and treatment to adults and adolescents. Each clinician has their own approach, with diversity highly valued within the team. We provide the space for people to work as they prefer, whether you are a quiet achiever or enjoy the company of your colleagues to lighten the day. Our focus is on providing a comfortable space for all. Our clients enjoy the down-to-earth approach of our service and the interaction with anyone on the team who walks past. Our clients tend to get to know us well as a team and are comfortable having the odd joke with our admin team. Our admin team have mastered the art of creating a welcoming experience for both clients and staff.
The day-to-day tasks include:
- Providing evidence-based therapy to address a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related disorders.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and community organisations to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Qualifications & experience required:
- Must be provisionally registered with AHPRA
- Must have a valid working with children check
- Must have a police check less than 6 months old.
- Must be willing to provide onsite services, though some work from home hours are possible for admin tasks.
- Understanding of working in a Private Practice setting.
- Available to work 3 to 5 days a week.
- Some prior experience working with clients is needed.
- Ideally you would have knowledge of, or experience working with, trauma presentations.
