About the role with Generation Care:
- The Provisional Psychologist primary focus is to provide evidence based psychological intervention to improve the mental wellbeing of older Australians.
- Generation Care works within Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) and within the community setting to deliver psychological support to older adults.
- To place the older person at the centre of care and of decision making
- To provide individual care and work with the clients broader allied health team as part of a multi-faceted holistic approach.
- The Provisional Psychologist will receive supervision and training in line with AHPRA’s internship guidelines. This includes a unique opportunity to work across the lifespan and develop skills in geropsychology.
- Hold an approved degree in Psychology
- Provisional Registration with the appropriate body i.e., AHPRA
- Is looking to develop a broad range of clinician skills, is open to feedback, and humble in their learnings.
- Have experience working with CRM systems and using computers
- You can follow instructions and are motivated to achieve key performance indicators
- You have excellent time management skills and are well organised
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written
- A passion for helping a diverse range of clients
- The ability to quickly develop rapport
- You must exude a sense of genuineness and warmth
- You must also have a sense of fun - we aim to restore purpose to our client’s lives and move them from existing to living their best life
- A satisfactory criminal record check
- Evidence of Influenza Vaccination?
- Working with vulnerable people check (or state equivalent)
- An Australian Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle
