Classification: Medical Scientist, Pharmacist and Psychologist EA 2021 -25 Grade 2
Hours per fortnight: 76
Status: Permanent Full Time
Applications are sought from suitably qualified Psychologists to be part of the Echuca Regional Health team to deliver comprehensive Mental Health Services as part of the Adult and Older AdultMental Health and Wellbeing Service.
The Local will act as a front door to the Mental Health service system and will provide wholistic care including clinical interventions, wellbeing and therapeutic supports. Peer expertise and lived experience being crucial to service delivery.
Local Services will provide evidence-based or informed clinical treatment, including counselling and psychological therapies. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide a service which includes direct clinical treatment to consumers, families and carers including short- and long-term care. The Psychologist will be required to provide quality service within counselling and therapeutic frameworks to ensure that psychological assessment and interventions are responsive to the needs of consumers accessing the LOCAL. Clinical interventions will be integrated with and complemented by wellbeing supports, peer and mutual self-help supports and care coordination. The Position will be required to have clinical reporting lines to Psychologist within the Wellbeing and Primary Mental Health Department.
OUR TEAM REQUIRES SOMEONE WHO HAS:
Qualifications in Psychology. Consideration will be given to psychologists competing internship
Demonstrated knowledge, experience and skills in the provision of counselling and the application of therapeutic assessment and interventions
Well-developed interpersonal communication skills including the ability to establish rapport clients
Understand the value the voice of lived expertise and how it contributes to service provision and clinical outcomes
