St John of God Social Outreach provides a range of no or low-cost mental health, homelessness and capacity building services to over 5500 people in the community across Victoria, Western Australia, New South Wales and the Asia Pacific, particularly in areas where we have identified gaps in service provision. You're role at St John of God We are seeking applications for a Psychologist to join our Allied Health team on a permanent full-time basis in Blacktown, NSW. The Psychologist, is a member of a multi-disciplinary team that provides evidenced-based care to the patients of St John of God Health Care (SJGHC). Ensures practice is in accordance to the relevant registration body Board of Australia Code of Ethics and SJGHC policies and guidelines. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of innovative programs that provide high-level clinical care to consumers in groups, and an individual basis across a variety of acute and psychiatric specialties. The Position Provides advanced level Psychology services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring consumer progress adjusting treatment accordingly for complex management.Liaise with multi-disciplinary team to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to consumers, visitors and staff, inclusive of maintaining confidentiality.You will have experience providing perinatal specialised services, clinical leadership skills and an ability to undertake quality improvement activities. Successful applicants will have tertiary qualifications in Psychology and current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Experience running groups and providing individual therapy using CBT, DBT and Schema-Focused Therapy will be highly regarded.
