About the role
The psychosocial team is a new service to Therabees and as such we are looking for a highly motivated experienced Psychologist to continue to grow and develop the service.
You will be responsible for developing the service through budgeting, planning, marketing, and networking.
You will provide consistent supervision and mentoring to clinical staff, as well as contributing to the New Grad training program throughout the year.
You will work alongside our multi-disciplinary allied health team, with a mixed case load ranging from early childhood to teens.
Typical caseloads involve working with children who are neurodivergent, have a neurological disability or have development delay with ages ranging from 0-18 years. If mixed caseloads aren't your thing and you prefer to specialise in a particular area we may be able to accommodate that.
You will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological assessments, tailoring custom recommendations for each child and liaising directly with clients and their caregivers.
Therapy interventions can be delivered in various locations including clinics and community.
Are you the right fit for us?
- Masters or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or Educational and Developmental Psychology
- Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Strong ability and willingness to undertake ASD, ADHD, ID and Learning Disorder assessments (with the option for a mixed assessment and therapy caseload if desired)
- Eligible to apply for Medicare Provider Number
- Minimum of three years' experience working in trauma-informed care and disability
- Be neuro-affirming in your approach
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transport
- Working with Children Clearance
- Proven ability to work alone and within a team and use initiative
- Willingness to learn and strong desire for continued professional development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have excellent communication skills to work within a team
- Must be friendly, great with children, a people's person and most importantly FUN!
