Your New Role:
If you’re on the path to solid career progression and advancement in clinical work, experience and professional development, then we’re the team for you. We’ll always encourage you to speak up about ideas and interests you’d like to add to your role, and we encourage the design and expansion of clinical services that pique your interest. We provide a caring and friendly team that works and celebrate together. We ensure that your career and family life will benefit from joining our team.
We provide a full-time administration team who support you through your workdays and provide your clients with a high level of care every time they contact the practice.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
  • Consulting with clients above ten years of age to assess their mental health, provide diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment;

  • Provide psychological services to support individuals and groups, including children, young people, and adults;
  • Administer tests and formulate treatment plans for clients;
  • Design and evaluate treatment plans and assist in the implementation of evidence-based psychological interventions;
  • Consult and liaise regularly with families, carers and significant others where required;
  • Write assessments and reports in a timely manner;
  • Consult with the senior psychologist regarding cases and their most appropriate treatment plan.
  • Follow the ethical guidelines as set out for psychologists in Australia and conduct yourself in such a manner that all your actions are ethical, professional and above reproach;
  • Conduct case management and other administrative tasks as needed;
  • You are responsible for creating and maintaining accurate client records as per AHPRA’s guidelines and keeping this up to date at all times;
  • You are required to provide feedback to doctors as required by Medicare for clients referred with a mental health care plan.

Your Profile:
To succeed in this role, you want to work in a team environment and easily build rapport with your clients. You will also have the following:
  • Registered as a psychologist with AHPRA;
  • Overseas applicants are considered for the role. Ideally, you will have a clinical master’s
or doctorate degree completed a skills assessment in terms of APHRA requirements,
and need only a three-month provisional period. You would also be willing to write the
National Psychology Examination;
  • A current Working With Children Check (WWCC), or the willingness to obtain;
  • Experience in dealing with various mental health concerns;
  • Excellent verbal and written skills;
  • Passion, caring and love to work in a team and also working independently with confidence.

Why join this Group Practice?

  • Group practice with an established referral base;
  • Flexible work environment;
  • Dedicated full-time administrative support;
  • Excellent support to safely develop and grow;
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits;
  • Your own personalised consulting room;
  • Supportive and welcoming team culture;
  • Opportunity to transfer to Brisbane-based practice in future.
