Job description

The Allied Health Unit are looking for a Senior Psychologist to join their Musculoskeletal Management Clinic (MMC) & Conservative Management Services (CMS) team. The role services outpatients with complex musculoskeletal conditions. The Psychology Service QEII Hospital is a small service currently covering Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Geriatric Medicine, and Pathways. It is a growing service and represents an opportunity for candidates who are passionate about improving and developing psychology services for patients who may otherwise not have access.

About the Role

  • Manage an allocated workload to deliver Psychology services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within an interprofessional team in accordance with established clinical & departmental protocols, policies and procedures, utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards and under clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of more senior staff.
  • Collaborate on and undertake the development of evidence-based clinical practices, policies and protocols within the CMS psychology service.
  • Utilise knowledge and skills in the area of Psychology to contribute to evidence-based reviews, outcome measures and reporting of key performance indicators.
  • Demonstrate initiative in the development of clinical practice, procedures and administrative protocols for the MMC & CMS psychology service and the interprofessional team that support the continuum of care.
