We are looking for a person that will fit in and enhance our culture and therefore to be considered for this role the position of Administration Clerk will be responsible for assisting in all administration processes and activities within the Administration Department.
Job Duties/Essential Functions
- Assists in the Depot Budget Plan
- Prepares the Period End Accruals
- Reviews Period End Results
- Validates and Reviews Invoices for payment
- Prepares purchase orders and liaises with suppliers & contractors
- Assists in Freight Reconciliation
- Audits & reconciles Purchase Card & Cheque Log
- Processes employee claims, draws cheques for payment
- Assists in liaising vendor service agreements and all other certifications
- Assists in Payroll/HR functions when necessary
- Assists in Data entry of pallet movements.
- Assists in the reconciliation of pallet movement.
- Covers for Reception Duties
- Other duties that may be assigned from time to time
- Computer, printer, phone, calculator, handheld two-way radio.
- Assists in other departments where necessary.
- Education/Training: Minimum Diploma in Accounting
- Licenses/Certifications: None*
- Knowledge/Skills: Basic Accounting Knowledge, Intermediate Excel Skills and Google Suite (Docs, Spreadsheet, Slides)
- Other Skills and Abilities: Must have Strong Auditing, Reconciliation, Analytical Skills and Excellent communication skills at all levels. Must have great Attention to Detail.
- The successful candidate will require a satisfactory criminal record check as the Facility is a Biosecurity Bonded facility
- The successful candidate will undergo a drug and alcohol screening
- Previous or comparable experience
- Basic Accounting Knowledge
- Must be physically fit
- Must have excellent Communication Skills at all levels
- Can multi task and must have a "Can-Do" attitude
