Public Health Data Officer

An exciting opportunity exists to utilise expertise in data management to achieve program goals and service objectives within the Immunisation program and Communicable Disease Outbreak response. Conduct and document complex quality improvement processes for the collection and maintenance of vaccination data, with a focus on vulnerable populations including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Offer advanced data support services to stakeholders through education, training, and provision of immunisation histories and coordinate the School Immunisation Program in collaboration with the Public Health Nurse – Immunisation. This includes managing data collection, Service Agreements, Deeds of Variation, Invoicing, and Budget Management.Job details Position status Permanent

We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions.The Sunshine Coast Public Health Unit consists of a diverse multidisciplinary team including medical, nursing, environmental health officers, epidemiology, Data Officers and administration. The Public Health Unit is engaged in various functions, encompassing communicable disease control, immunisation, surveillance, and compliance.Key Responsibilities include:

• Provide data management support to meet current and future requirements of the service
• Design and perform data quality improvement processes for the collection, completeness, and maintenance of vaccination data from vaccine service providers
• Assist in the development, organisation and delivery of education and information sessions for vaccine service providers
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Remuneration value up to $110,852 p.a., comprising salary between $88,187 - $97,157 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO4). Applications will remain current for 12 months.
