We are seeking a Purchasing and Procurement Officer to join our passionate, committed and tenacious team as 2IC to develop strategies and execute system operations for Dynamo Fitness Equipment’s growing procurement and logistical demands, as well as support store inventory and warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding and depth of experience utilising a wide range of Purchasing and inventory software, knowledge and experience of end-to-end international procurement processes (including complex sourcing), and ability to research and secure viable supplier and shipping options for strategic growth.

Key Accountabilities:
- Manage end to end procurement of inventory including, obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, shipping & tracking of orders to outlets.
- Develop strategies to decrease order timelines and maximise stock level efficiencies, whilst minimising procurement and stock holding cost per unit.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure that all company stock is sufficient across all stores/warehouses and recorded levels are accurate.
- Initiate and process branch transfers where required and ensure procedure compliance.
- Continuously review procurement operations as well as stock management system models and initiate business improvement actions in liaison with the Director.
- Liaise with factories, suppliers/vendors and shipping companies (National and International) to facilitate new and ongoing business opportunities for the company.
- Identify and report product or supplier non-conformance issues and follow up with suitable action.
- Undertake completion reviews, analyse results and undertake any necessary corrective actions.
- Maintain supplier and product information in the procurement and inventory system ensuring required details are always accurate and up to date
- Analyse and assist in the production of financial expenditure information and reports to facilitate the development and success of future procurement strategies.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years experience within a similar role
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of international procurement, distribution and logistics processes and models.
- Established experience obtaining quotes, purchasing products at scale and undertaking coordination of supplier and shipping contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, take ownership, show initiative and responsibility for assigned duties as well as effectively liaise with staff.
- Proficient ability to implement, develop and utilise procurement/inventory software.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, problem solving, time management and organisational skills
- Possess excellent presentation and communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), to be able to consult, negotiate and facilitate cooperation and relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
Desirable:
- Forklift license
