We are currently looking for a Procurement Officer to join the team. This role reports to the Procurement Manager, and is primarily responsible for:
- Using your estimating/scheduling background, you will be developing & delivering the Group’s strategic procurement plan to establish and maintain supplier arrangements that deliver on going value and quality to the Group along with mitigating supply, quality, cashflow and pricing risks.
- Involved in coordinating supplier negotiations, ensuring the Group’s price book (including futures) is maintained at all times and assists with assembly maintenance.
- Identifying and sourcing new suppliers as well as initiating innovative supply arrangements to support the Group’s business objectives
- Developing and driving the implementation of a supplier management program
- Working closely with the Sales Teams and the Construction Teams to deliver procurement solutions that support their businesses
The successful candidate will possess the following experience and attributes:
- Experience in a procurement or similar position with a demonstrated strategic approach
- Experience as a Senior Scheduler or Estimator
- Strong analytical skills
- BusinessCraft experience desirable
- Ability to keep up to date with market trends and industry changes
- Proven strategic and tactical negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply a strong focus to delivering milestones, cost control and continuous improvement
- Previous experience in the building materials procurement, residential scheduling &/or estimating environment would be viewed favorably
