About the Role
Teys Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Purchasing and Stores Managerwith highly developed organisational skills to join the Asset Management team based at our Rockhampton processing site in Central Queensland. The role will be responsible for the coordination and management of the Purchasing and Stores across plant operations.
Overall role requirements include:
- Determining, implementing and monitoring purchasing, storage and distribution strategies.
- Preparing and implementing plans to maintain required stock levels.
- Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
- Liaising and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure product and packaging quality is maintained.
- Undertaking team management and supervisory functions in line with Teys HRM practices.
- Provide appropriate reports to the Senior Leadership Team.
About You
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
- Three (3) years or more experience in Purchasing and Stores Management
- Advanced computer and numeracy skills.
- Experience using JDE, MP2 or similar ERP software
- Experience managing, coordinating and reconciling large volume inventory, invoices and orders.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing sustainable and ethical suppliers and building strong professional networks.
- Demonstrated people leadership in a fast-paced diverse environment.
- Proven experience in day to day management of consumables
Desirable:
- Experience in manufacturing industry.
- Understanding of capital expenditure requirements and processes.
- Coordination of critical spares.
- Proven experience in managing and coordinating high volume freight and logistics schedules.
